The Kathryn Smith Academy of Singing & Theatre

Knowledge and appreciation of singing, drama & theatre are the finest elements to broaden and educate minds, young and old.

Not only is it great fun but it also equips the individual with skills that will cross over to all aspects of life, assisting in personal development, communication and confidence.

In September, 2007 Kathryn founded The Kathryn Smith Academy of Singing and Theatre in Ratoath Co. Meath.
Courses run over a 10 week term : Ages from 7 - 8 years upwards

As a teacher Kathryn finds herself in constant demand. She has brought many students to professional level. Many have performed in major shows and venues in Ireland, on Carnegie Hall and the West End, and over the years a number of them performed with the River Dance Companies.

When performing in the US she has also found time to give singing workshops in the High Schools. Last year she introduced the Leinster School’s singing Syllabus to two High Schools in New York and was invited by the school’s board in Long Island to hold future workshops.

As well as giving individual tuition here in Ireland Kathryn also enjoys holding singing workshops and was invited on to RTE’s ‘Ur a Star’ programme to lend her expertise to the contestants.
